''Public Service'' VS. ''Private Sector'' B.S. In America

America has its share of contradictory mixed messages and double binds.
My favorite is how money can buy ''free speech'' and ''free press.''
This makes for normal schizoidness and paranoia in american society; polluting our psyches and our souls from childhood.

It is interesting to study the relationship between the two sub-cultures: ''Public Service'' and ''Private Sector'' industry; particularly as it applies to our elected and appointed government officials.

Dylan Ratigan writes, ''Is Your Senator A Bankester?'' (Huffington Post.com, 5/7/10)
''What we have now is a group of politicians with shifting alliances on a case-by-case basis to the special interests who fund them.''

Furthermore, it is well known that former government public service officials enrich themselves by becoming officers and lobbyists for a ''private sector'' industry while former officers and lobbyists fron private sector industries are appointed or elected government officials for ''public service.''

I believe we need to do away with this B.S..
We need to set a ceiling and a floor on personal income and make a legal distinction between personal income and business income.

I believe the distinction contemporary bloggers are making between manufacturing jobs (which produce product-things) vs. service jobs (which result in human assistance) is more meaningful; although there are gray areas. E.g., is producing ''a show'' for entertainment a manufacturing or service job?

I believe jobs that are dangerous to workers should be rewarded with higher personal incomes.

America:
How shall we spend our time?
What should we do with our life?
Who shall we be or become?
What does (our) life mean to us?
Where did we come from and to where are we going?"
What are we a part of?
